Wakon Navajo Eagle ApHCC#
45331 [F3] ApHC# 548672
I liked Eagle real well when I first
saw him and after some negotiating acquired him from Marlene Ross at Wakon
Appaloosas. He has sired many fine foals for Marlene as well as the Milton
Decker family at Alvadore, Oregon and every one of those that I have seen
has impressed me. We are expecting his first foals with great
anticipation, in the spring of 2008. He is an F3 and stands 15.2 HH, is
a homozygous black leopard, with a distinctive eagle look about him. He
has many black leopards in his ancestry, and will produce foals eligible
for FAHR registry from most if not all of our mares. We will have pictures
of his foals here later this summer so come back often. Some of his better
known ancestors include Mansfield Comanche [6X] Red Eagle, Painter III,
Toby II [2X] Morgans Leopard [3X],Golden Glow [3X]. Eagle will add a new
dimension to our breeding program and his progeny will benefit our band of
horses for years to come.

Reference Sire

Bow Dar
ApHCC#40294 [F3] FAHR# 767
Bow was the first Appaloosa stallion we
bought in the spring of 2002 and he has served us well since then. He has
produced some top quality foals, and one gelding, PB Hunters Bow owned by
Michel and Andrea Curry has done real well in the show ring. Bow is 15 HH,
of stock horse type, good bone with exceptionally good hooves, is
extremely docile, and transmits these characteristics to his foals. All of
his foals have been bay or brown in color and are a pleasure to work with,
as they learn real easy and fast.
Bow Dar is a well bred horse with
strong Appaloosa breeding and has only one Quarter Horse in the fifth
generation. He goes back to such foundation sires as Mansfield Comanchie,
Joker B [several times] Red Eagle, Painter, Shavano, Wapiti and others. We
are concentrating our breeding toward the more sport horse type of
Foundation Appaloosas and upon seeing a black leopard stallion, Wakon
Navajo Eagle, in
Washington state I decided to replace Bow with Eagle to head up
our breeding program.

Recent purchases
We were fortunate to be able to buy these two
older mares from Norman & Charlene James of Midway B.C., when they
sold their small ranch this spring. From the pedigrees you can see
that these are as foundation as one can get. e hope to be able to
mate these mares to Eagle for some excellent foundation prospects. |
